Ahoy, journal that no one reads! I have things to report.

At my husband's suggestion, I read The Watchmen, and now I'm into it. I've been putting off watching the movie, although I think I'll do that tonight.

Last time I got super involved with fandom stuff, I was alone and romantically uninvolved, but my life was full and stressful, and I found myself reading fics as a way to decompress. More recently, I've finished two back-to-back semesters of counseling practicum, and am starting a third. I still work two jobs. I've really taken to my role as a new step-parent, but that's also a stressor. The sum of all that is, I figure some fandom involvement could do me good at this point. I feel compelled, so I'm going to let it happen.
