Socks!

Yay, another young Snape picture! I like his old-fashioned shoes, non-matching socks, and too-short trouser legs. Those details seem appropriate (even though the presence of muggle clothes as opposed to robes lowers the humiliation potential of levicorpus somewhat, but adult Snape's clothes have never quite been canon either). It's almost like he's wearing old/second hand stuff (like our hero...yet another parallel). The posture, the hair, everything looks good. I'm glad they didn't screw him up.

Awww, the socks! How is he so cute?!

I guess him not wearing trousers would seem quite ridiculous in movie!canon. The audience would wonder if he is slightly insane for running around half naked.

I wouldn't have noticed, but I heard that Snape's and the Marauders' outfit looks like the uniforms they wore in PS/CoS and not like the new PoA/GoF/OotP ones, which is really ... considerate. Bravo costume department!
